WHAT

Direct acids help improve the overall look of skin tone and texture by encouraging the exfoliation of dead skin cells on the stratum corneum (the skin surface).

WHY

As skin ages, cell turnover can be compromised, leaving it looking less smooth and radiant. Exfoliation aids in cell turnover.

HOW

Alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs) are water-soluble and help to exfoliate the outermost layer of the skin. Beta hydroxy acids (BHAs) are lipid-soluble and can provide deeper exfoliation benefits, usually recommended for congestion-prone skin.

WHO

All skin types can benefit from acids. Do not use on compromised, sensitive, or peeling skin.
